IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. They govern your access to and use of the Paltu Life platform, including the website and mobile applications (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between Paltu Life Ventures Pvt Ltd (“Paltu Life,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you, whether you are a Pet Parent (seeking services) or a Service Provider (offering services).
The Platform is intended solely for users who:
Are 18 years of age or older.
Are residents of India.
Are competent to form binding contracts under Indian law.
Paltu Life operates exclusively as a technology platform and marketplace. Our primary function is to facilitate connections and secure transactions between Pet Parents and Service Providers.
We provide tools for scheduling, communication, and secure payment processing.
We are not an employer, agent, or partner of any Service Provider.
Paltu Life does not provide pet care services directly.
Service Providers are independent contractors responsible for service delivery.
All contractual obligations for the service remain between the Pet Parent and the Service Provider.
To use the Platform, you must register and create an account, providing accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.
All activities that occur under your account.
Notifying Paltu Life immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
All payments are facilitated through the Platform via secure, third-party payment gateways.
Pet Parents agree to pay the listed service fees.
Service Providers agree to receive payment, minus the applicable Paltu Life service fee/commission.
Cancellations and refunds are handled according to the specific Cancellation and Refund Policy in effect at the time of booking. Users agree to abide by that policy, which governs the timing and eligibility of all refunds.
All users and Service Providers must adhere to the highest standards of animal welfare and ethical conduct.
All Service Providers are required to comply with Indian laws governing animal welfare, most notably the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
Pet Parents must provide truthful and accurate details of their pet’s temperament, medical condition, and special needs before booking any service. Pets must be vaccinated as applicable.
Service Providers must handle pets humanely and ensure safe, hygienic, and stress-free environments.
Any instance of misconduct, neglect, harm, or cruelty towards animals noticed during service delivery may result in immediate account suspension, permanent termination, and potential referral to legal authorities.
You agree to:
Provide accurate profile and pet information.
Cooperate fully with Service Providers for safe pet handling and identification.
Not use the Platform for illegal trade, resale, or harmful activities involving animals.
Not solicit services or payments off-platform.
You agree to:
Maintain valid licenses and credentials where applicable (e.g., grooming, boarding).
Ensure all personnel are adequately trained to handle pets safely.
Comply with hygiene and welfare standards prescribed by state or local authorities.
All content on the Platform (excluding User Content), including branding, software, graphics, and the compilation of such content, is the exclusive property of Paltu Life Ventures Pvt Ltd and is protected by Indian copyright laws.
License: By submitting content (photos, descriptions, reviews), you grant Paltu Life a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use and display that content in connection with the Platform.
Reviews: User reviews must be respectful and factual. Paltu Life reserves the right to remove defamatory, abusive, or non-factual content.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Paltu Life expressly disclaims all warranties, including, but not limited to:
Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any Service Provider profile or listing.
Paltu Life shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:
The services rendered by any Service Provider.
Any injury, loss, or death to a pet while under the care of a Service Provider.
Accidents during transit or inaccuracies in vendor listings.
In no event shall Paltu Life’s total liability to you for all damages exceed the greater of the amount of fees paid by you to Paltu Life in the six (6) months preceding the claim, or INR 1,000.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Paltu Life against claims, liabilities, and costs arising from your:
Breach of these Terms.
Misuse of the Platform.
Violation of any law, including animal welfare norms.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, misuse, or substantiated animal cruelty reports.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India and interpreted in accordance with principles of fairness, transparency, and animal welfare ethics.
Disputes shall first be attempted via mediation through our support team. Failing resolution, they shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Paltu Life reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the Platform or email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
